A week from today is Thanksgiving!  It is a wonderful holiday – celebrated with feasting and family.  A number of our VVBC family will be gathering at the fellowship hall for our annual Thanksgiving Potluck.  We would love to have you join us – it is always a great time of fellowship!  While there are many reasons to celebrate Thanksgiving, it is important that we never forget to Whom we are giving thanks.  Sadly, most Americans consider Thanksgiving a “day off” to enjoy football, food, and family (and, of course, rest up for Black Friday shopping).  I hope you can all join us this Sunday as we dig into history and uncover the true meaning of the Thanksgiving Holiday and reflect upon how we can revive that spirit and TRULY celebrate the privilege of giving thanks.
